 CLASSROOM WEBSITE

My website was not created with the intention of providing all inclusive information about my classroom.  Information that remains constant throughout the year will be found in my classroom handbook that you will receive at "Meet the Teacher" night.

However, information that changes weekly such as spelling words, high-frequency words, up-coming events, etc. needs to be communicated to you in a timely manner.  For that reason this website was created.  I hope you will find it beneficial for you and your child.

 MYSTERY READERS

You are invited to surprise our class by being a "Mystery Reader"!  We love it when our family and friends visit our classroom.  Please share your favorite book with us!  Mystery Readers can be parents, older siblings, relatives or special friends.

Mystery Readers will visit us on Fridays (1:00-1:30).  They are asked to bring a favorite story to read.  If you can't decide, I can recommend some terrific books!

Email me, (debbie.cook@butler.k12.mo.us), stop by, or drop me a "secret" note.  I hope you'll be part of our Mystery Reader program!

 SNACK CUPBOARD

Please send a snack for our snack cupboard on "Meet the Teacher" night.  When snacks need replenishing I will let you know.  I do have a small refrigerator.

I like this method better than a snack calendar because it is so simple for me, you do not need to remember when it is your day, and no attention is drawn to students that are not able to provide snacks for whatever reason.
